Four Migration Agents Sanctioned For Misconduct

Melbourne –

In a decisive move to uphold professional standards within Australia’s migration advice industry, the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA) has sanctioned four migration agents following a series of investigations conducted between 20–23 October 2025.

According to OMARA, three agents have had their registrations cancelled for five years, while a fourth agent has been suspended for two years and will be required to meet specific conditions before being eligible to re-register.

The investigations concluded that all four agents failed to comply with migration law and were in breach of the Migration Agents Code of Conduct. OMARA stated that the sanctioned individuals did not act professionally, ethically, or with integrity—core expectations of registered migration agents.

The disciplinary actions underscore OMARA’s ongoing commitment to safeguarding consumers and ensuring that migration assistance in Australia is delivered to the highest standard.
